If you mount the folder you are able to create it without having to change the permissions. Could you post how you are using the FTP client? That is correct, but we think that mounting the folder in your OS X functionality is a replacement of the FTP client for editing or copying files easily. The biggest problem i have is I cannot find a way to choose my ip and therefore my htdoc/website is not accessible from my lan I have to create a folder for my website inside htdocs (lets say /htdocs/website) and chmod "website" folder to 777 to be able to upload anything
